Horseback riding and swimming

Horseback riding

A ceiling motor can be used to lift the user onto or off the horse. You can use a sling or body support for this purpose.

Generally speaking, the rail height must be between 3.5 and 4 metres. A ramp is helpful for inexperienced attendants but is not essential. A Handi-Move consultant will always visit you, at no obligation, to see what is possible.

The system is dust and moisture resistant and very quiet.

Swimming

With the Handi-Move pool lifts, you can easily move directly between you wheelchair and a swimming pool or therapy pool. This requires only one attendant and no physical exertion. There are two options here: a mobile pool lift or a ceiling motor with a rail system.

Depending on the user's profile, you can use a body support, a sling, or a bath seat.

Hydrotherapy is also possible with a ceiling system combined with the Handi-Move body support.

The user can enter and leave the water independently, unless this is prevented by the user's physical limitations.

With a mobile pool lift, an inconspicuous support base is built into the pool apron. When the lift is not in use, it should be stored in a dry area. The lift operates on rechargeable batteries.

A Handi-Move consultant will advise you on the options for installing a pool lift. You should also obtain the advice of a consultant in case of a Jacuzzi or above-ground pool.

Depending on the user's profile, a body-support, sling or seat sling may be used.
