This equipment is classified as a medical aid, for which laws and regulations and their interpretation can vary from one country to the next. Generally speaking, the answer is no.

To ensure safety, the EN 10535 standard stipulates an annual safety inspection. However, this is not required by law in all countries.

Ten years, although in practice they are used longer. Good maintenance can extend the useful life of the equipment.

This depends strongly on use and the number of times it is laundered. You can continue to use a sling as long as it does not show signs of wear. It is important to check the sling for wear each time before use.
