Frictionless Slides •

For safe patient handling in simpler transfers

SureHands recognizes that injuries can occur even during transfers by more able bodied users and their caregivers. Therefore, our line of frictionless slides are affordable and practical for those who do not currently need higher levels of assistance but are still at risk of injury when using nothing at all.

Less friction
Frictionless slides make patient transfers easier by reducing the friction to a minimum. This results in less strain for the user or their caregiver.
Frictionless slides are especially helpful when transferring from special soft mattresses, waterbeds or anti-decubitus mattresses.
For those who are self transferring, certain Frictionless slides can raise their ability to be more independent from wheelchair to toilet or wheelchair to car seat, for example.

Washable and hygienic
The plastic transfer board is easy to clean. The cloth slides are machine washable.

The sliding mat
is comparable to the sliding sheet but it is lined with a cushioned layer which makes it thicker and softer. It makes transferring on soft mattresses easier. It is an ideal aid for horizontal transfers with a slight change of elevation between bed and stretcher, for example.

The one-way sheet
enhances the patient’s comfort by keeping them from sagging in bed or on a chair. This also saves the caregiver time and effort in frequent repositioning.

The sliding sheet
avoids friction when positioning a bedridden person – for example, when turning a patient over for treatment or when placing them higher or lower in bed. Thanks to the sliding sheet the caregiver can perform these frequent maneuvers with less effort.

The transfer board
is used for transfers between two objects of equal height. It is especially intended for independent use – for example, to slide from the wheelchair into the car, or from one wheelchair to another. It also helps to make transfers between bed and chair go smoothly.

The rotation disk
is placed on the floor to assist with standing pivot transfers. The patient’s feet are placed firmly onto the disk while the caregiver places their foot in between to control the rotation. In this way, torsion of the knee and the back and twisting movements of the hip and pelvic joints are minimized. Use in combination with a safety belt for even greater control.

The rotation cushion
is an ideal aid for less mobile people and wheelchair users who have difficulty turning themselves. For example, while climbing into and out of the car. It can also be placed on the edge of the bed to aid with stepping into and out of bed.

The safety belt
is intended to support the patient fully or partially during transfers.
It is available in two versions:
1. the open belt, in combination with the sliding sheet is ideal for example when shifting a person’s legs or placing them higher in bed.
2. the closed belt is ideal for use in gait training or walking. The belt buckles around the waist and has two hand grips to make it possible for the caregiver to guide the patient more effectively or to shore up sagging in a more ergonomically responsible manner.
