For a perfect sitting and lying position, with continuous control

The mechanical (manually operated) tilting spreaderbar is designed with ease of use, safety, and comfort in mind. This makes moving to a bed, a care table, or another surface clear and manageable—both for the caregiver and the user. Ideal for institutions or home situations where simplicity, reliability, and control are paramount. Thanks to the manual operation, the caregiver can smoothly and controllably move the user from a sitting to a lying position. The caregiver can easily adjust the spreaderbar manually (forward or backward), which provides more control during transfers. This helps to position the user (e.g., sitting upright or leaning back) depending on their physical condition or needs.

Easy positioning with less physical strain on caregivers

Because the tilting spreaderbar tilts and can rotate freely, the user can be positioned better and more easily in bed or a wheelchair without the caregiver having to push or pull on the body. This reduces physical strain during transfers, especially with users who are difficult to position.

Simple and intuitive to use

The manual tilting spreaderbar is attached to the pivot pin of Handi-Move lifting systems using the mounting hooks and has a magnetic holder for the hand control on both sides. The tiltability of the lower part of the tilting spreaderbar ensures that the user automatically assumes the correct sitting position during the transfer. If desired, the caregiver can manually bring the user into a more upright position. When transferring to the bed, the tilting spreaderbar will automatically bring the user into a lying position. The user has a clear field of vision and sufficient headroom in the center.

No power or electrical controls required

The mechanical tilting spreaderbar is a practical solution for situations where no electrical system is required or where a power supply is not always available.

Lightweight with a lifting capacity of up to 225 kg

Because no motor or battery is required, the manual tilting spreaderbar is also lighter than the electric tilting spreaderbar (the mechanical tilting spreaderbar weighs only 4.4 kg, or almost half as much as the electric tilting spreaderbar). Nevertheless, this spreaderbar has a lifting capacity of up to 225 kg.

Suitable for slings with clips

The clips ensure secure and stable attachment. There is less chance of errors in attachment points compared to slings with loops.
Suitable for:
Standard sling with head support and clips
Toilet sling with head support and clips

Affordable solution

Fewer mechanical parts also means a lower purchase price, less maintenance, and lower long-term costs.

Compatible with various ceiling motors and mobile lifts from Handi-Move

The manual tilting spreaderbar for slings with clips may only be used in combination with the following Handi-Move lifting systems:
