The body is supported at only a few points, yet there is a profound sense of comfort and security. The Body Support is easy to apply and offers the user maximum freedom of movement.
Comfortable: the Body Support offers comfort for both the user and the caregiver. Two soft torso supports cradle the upper body like two hands, without pressure under the user’s arms. The ergonomic thigh supports cradle the lower body. In addition to providing maximum access to the body for care, the advantage of the Body Support is that it can be applied more quickly and efficiently than slings.

Get into bed on your own with the Body Support and ceiling lift
The Handi-Move ceiling motor lifts you in and out of bed in complete comfort. The remote control gives you full control, while the Body Support provides perfect support. You decide when to get into bed and when to get out.
Using the Body Support and ceiling lift to get to the toilet on your own
With the ceiling motor and the Handi-Move Body Support, you can get to the toilet on your own. Because your lower back and buttocks remain completely free within the Body Support, you can easily pull your pants down and back up.
Bathing independently with the Body Support and ceiling lift
The unique and patented Handi-Move Body Support is made of lightweight yet sturdy stainless steel. None of its components absorb moisture in the bathtub or swimming pool. Just wipe it down with a cloth, and it’s clean and dry again. The ceiling-mounted motor ensures a smooth transfer into your bathtub.
Into the pool and swimming independently or with assistance using the Body Support and ceiling lift
The Body Support allows the user to get in and out of the water directly from their wheelchair to swim. In addition to the mobile lift, Handi-Move also offers a ceiling motor as a lifting system for the pool. The ceiling motor moves along a rail. It is ideal for intensive use and/or in pools where installing a floor base is not possible. You are securely suspended in the Body Support, but slings or the pool lift chair are also options.
For pool applications, the Body Support (model 1035) is electrolytically polished (= anti-corrosion).
Hippotherapy: mounting and dismounting the horse using a Body Support and a ceiling lift
The Handi-Move Body Support® allows the rider to mount and dismount the horse effortlessly. Handi-Move offers a simple solution for rorseback riding: the Body Support combined with a ceiling motor mounted on a ceiling rail.
Safe system for any body type
The Body Support is a hinged system that automatically wraps around the upper body due to the pressure of the user’s own weight on the thigh supports. It adapts to any body type. This allows both a child and an adult to be lifted safely using the same Body Support. It is easy to switch from a Body Support to a spreader bar with slings and vice versa.

Thigh supports are an essential accessory for lifting someone using a Body Support. They help distribute pressure and body weight evenly. They ensure that the body is perfectly supported in a seated position during the lift and that the back remains straight. The thigh supports are easy to attach in all lifting situations. They are available in various models and sizes, and with either a smooth or non-slip coating. They are made of low-maintenance, rust-resistant material.
Thigh Support Fix: a patented mechanism for adjusting the thigh supports to enhance comfort
The patented Thigh Support Fix ensures that you maintain a proper and comfortable position in the Body Support. It locks the thigh supports in place under load and is easy to adjust when unloaded. The length of the thigh support straps is adjustable to suit your height. The markings on the straps allow you to verify that both are the same length.
Choose the appropriate thigh supports: standard, wide, muscular dystrophy
Depending on the user’s limitations, it is important to choose the appropriate thigh supports for the Body Support: standard thigh supports (suitable for most users), wide thigh supports (for reduced sitting function), or muscular dystrophy thigh supports (for severely reduced muscle tone). Fabric covers for the thigh supports are available as an option.
