““Lower Bavaria’s first children’s hospice offering day and overnight care has opened”
Children’s hospice Haus ANNA in Eichendorf, Germany
We equipped Haus ANNA with Handi-Move ceiling lift systems.
Since 2004, the Munich Outpatient Children’s Hospice Foundation (AKM) has supported families across Bavaria who are expecting a seriously ill baby or caring for a seriously ill newborn, child or young adult. It also assists families in which a seriously ill parent has dependent children. Day, overnight and weekend care, together with family apartments, provides relief from everyday pressures.
Children with severe or incurable conditions often require complex, time-intensive care, placing emotional strain on the family. A specialist team provides support tailored to each family’s needs.
Haus ANNA is Lower Bavaria’s first children’s hospice offering day and overnight care. It gives families with a seriously ill child or adolescent a place of support and respite.

Handi-Move ceiling lift systems were installed in seven bedrooms and one assisted bathroom, complemented by three mobile hoists. The equipment supports lifting, transfers and repositioning, reducing strain on care staff and helping provide safe care to children and adults.
The AKM Foundation is planning more facilities.
